Multi-instrumentalist maestro Michele Chiavarini’s career as a composer, producer, arranger and session musician, spans over 20 years. He has been involved with music ranging from Pop to Dance, Soul/R&B to Jazz, and Orchestral to World, for recording artistes, film, TV and advertising. Classically trained in piano, guitar, composition, orchestration and conducting, Michele is also a masterful programmer and engineer, equally at home with electronic, acoustic or orchestral musical environments. He is also an accomplished bassist, violinist, trumpet player and vibraphone player. After winning several awards in his native Italy, Michele hasn’t looked back. From working with Ennio Morricone on film scores such as The Mission, The Untouchables and Frantic, he has gone on to record for the likes of Robbie Williams, Diana Ross, Luciano Pavarotti, Ray Charles, Kylie Minogue, A. R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), Seal, Simply Red, Gloria Gaynor, Philip Bailey, Lemar, Booty Luv, Soul II Soul, Gabrielle and many more. Furthermore, Michele regularly writes music for the Discovery Channel, History Channel and CNN, and has previously composed music for advertising (Evian, Heineken, Gordon’s Gin, P&O, 555, etc). In the year 2000, his cheeky take on Brit girl groups resulted in the creation of naughty twosome Daphne & Celeste, much loved by Radio One and the NME for their irreverent style. With the duo, Michele scored two top 10 singles, and one top 20 album. For dance heads, Michele is best known for his work as keyboardist on hundreds of productions by some of the top DJs and dance acts in the world including Dave Lee (a.k.a. Joey Negro), Seamus Haji, Mark Knight, Luciana Caporaso, Diane Charlemagne, BootyLuv, Bobby & Steve, Robert Owens, DJ Disciple, Allister Whitehead, ATFC, Warren Clark, Mark Wilkinson and Booker T. Michele’s Latin lounge solo album "The Full Fronteira", was released under the name Nova Fronteira by Z Records in 2002, on CD and vinyl, to critical acclaim. Michele was also one of the main writers on the hugely successful Jakatta album “Visions” (3 Top 10s) and many other Dave Lee’s projects, among others Raven Maze (2 Top 10s), The Sunburst Band, Akabu, Doug Willis, etc. Most recently, Michele and DJ Allister Whitehead have joined forces to form a remixing partnership that promises great things. Recent remixes include Christina Aguilera, Lemar, Mutya Buena and many more.
